Back to school- backpack time

Homeschooling is in the air, the back-to-school sales are beginning...thought I would share some back-to-homeschool-link-love.

It is backpack time at our house, our 3 girls are all in need of new backpacks and lunch totes.

These backpacks and messenger bags were a hit with the older two girls at Limited Too, and Brianna found a matching lunch tote here also.

Really, really cute backpacks at Hanna Andersson..can you guess which one is perfect for our little miss Amie?

Finally, a really cute lunch bag *here* at LL Bean, Meg really liked the gecko bag.

Since we homeschool, we don't need new backpacks every year- they really do not get much wear and tear...so new backpacks this year were a really, really big deal.

Can't wait to see what everyone else is finding for the new school year...please share!

At 6:47 AM, Anonymous said...: Those are really cute. My kids get new backpacks when we find one they really like at the thrift shop. :) Then they donate the old one. They are trying to convince me they need lunch boxes but I usually throw their lunches in a cooler bag I have so see no reason for individual ones to store and lose--which mine will. :)

We have been using the back to school sales to stock up on school supplies (I love Staples Teacher Discounts) and pick up new workbooks. I have discovered that my son LOVES having new workbooks and the girls are thrilled to get choose new copybooks for the year. My gut wants me to have them finish a notebook before they get a new one but their enthusiasm for the work in a new notebook made it well worth 50 cents each. :)

We don't buy new backpacks every year, infact it has been more then 4 years since the older girls have had a new backpack- being homeschooled we have little wear and tear, this will be Amie's first new backpack. We used a 25% off coupon on the Limited too backpacks, so it wasn't too expensive. Our boy got a new backpack 2 years ago and it still looks news, so no new one for him this year.
I really do enjoy this time of year, I love all the sales!

They have to use them untill they tear under the weight, or untill they look like them came from Mars. LOL!

But I love to look at the new items. They''re nicer each year.
