Spring Break!

It's spring break here at Home!

So, what does that look like? A bit of exciting mixed with just hanging out...

Here is part of the crew on Monday, having lunch at Rubios. Hey, when
you have to buy for 5 kids...eating out is exciting!
(long gone are the days when 2 kids would share a small burger...now they all desire their very own kid's meal...sigh.)

We went bowling at the super-swank, uber-expensive bowling alley near us. I weighed the cost vs. going farther to an unknown alley, and the weird smells/icky shoes...and caved and went to the cool alley.

Surprise bonus, they are running a special this week, lunch and bowling, for much less than usual. Very cool. We already had lunch. Not cool. They gave us dessert instead, very cool!

My new i phone takes great photos, unfortunately they are small... live and learn!

Gander had me watch the Susan Boyle thing last night and I thought she seemed like a lovely lady and extremely talented. Honestly, I still felt sad for her afterwards because, even in their compliments, the judges still managed to work in insults (not about her performance but just about how everyone was making critical of her to start and, basically, that she "seems" like a loser but not in so many words). Maybe I'm just too sensitive.

The jumping jack thing was funny. I wonder if that guy was doing it on purpose. And there was a second guy that was pretty funny, too.

I miss Rubios. Think you can bring me a fish taco along with the Taco Bell things? Kidding, of course.

yeah, I felt sort of that way about the Susan Boyle thing-yes she shocked them, but they were rude nevertheless, and I don't think they really learned a lesson from it. She has a wonderful voice! It is a shame that society today can't be civil to an elder, even if she had sang off key, they should have been civil.

Rubios, huh? I don't know how I will manage carrying on all this fresh food! :)

Good for you taking a spring break. We took a few weeks recently to move and get settled in our new home my kids are still asking but when is "break"? Oh well they finish school way before ps kids every day. Hopefully they'll appreciate that sooner than later. :)

so nice to 'meet' you! We actually rarely take a real spring break, I usually work through it, but this year I decided to make an effort and give them a real spring break.

I would have rather just hung out at home!
