New toy

look what hubby got me!

We've had so much trouble with our computer crashing, I've been wanting a mac for a while- but didn't think I would actually get one anytime soon.

It's just beautiful- the desktop is stunning. Never owning a mac before, the learning curve seems to be a little steep. I'm going to go to those weekly classes they offer too- I think I will need it, I can barely navigate my way around here...

Sky told me that when he walked into the apple store and was shown the computer- the "mini mac", he pointed to the little shiny box and asked if it was the router. Umm, no...it was the computer. Wow.

The best part so far,

I turn it on...and it works!! Wow. And it is fast.

We have a MAC and love it. I think we are going to put my mother into the computer age and get her a MAC too.

We went to the apple class, it was so helpful, I can navigate a little better now, but I'm still wobbly.

I know we're going to need a new computer at some point and I'm so tempted, but new things scare me. So really, I'd be interested in your experience.

We went to the apple class and learned alot, our guru even took Kevin's cell phone and had it sync with the computer -no wires..they just started 'talking' to eachother!-and transferred all the photos on his phone (that we coudln't do anything with) to the computer and transferred his address book and calendar! Wow! Our guru friend showed us how to navigate around, what the differences were with the apple and the windows we are used to. He helped us set up our toolbar, or whatever that is called. He did show me how to open more windows at a time to post links and stuff, but I already forgot..struggling with it. I am moving things to a notebook and then to my blog, clunky...Also, I don't seem to have all my tools on blogger to work with like bold/italic/importing links...don't know what is up with that. I am going to have to use hubby's computer to do more than basic posting for a while. Our next class is in a week, I 'll let you know if things get easier!
It's different, and I am wobbly with it, but I really love it.

Are you using Safari as your browser? It wouldn't let me use italics, etc. in Blogger either.

I just use Firefox--so easy to have many tabs/windows open at the same time too!
