Fall into reading book challenge

Katrina, over at Callapidder days
has issued a reading challenge taking place from September 21 thru December 21. Go over to her site to see guidlines and a list of participants. She is also offering prizes!! If you have a list of books running through your head that you would like to read, someday...join her to find lots of encouragement and lists of good books others are reading.

Here is my list...

Nonfiction:
Imatation of Christ - Thomas A Kempis
Life Study of Romans- Witness Lee
Circle of Quiet- Madeleine L'Engle
How the Irish saved Civilization-Thomas Cahill (in the works, 2/3 done) Finished! 9/28

Fiction:
The Brethren- Beverly Lewis Finished! 10/04
Blessed are the cheesemakers-Sarah-kate Lynch Finished! 10/26/
Eating Heaven-Jennie Shortridge Finished! 10/24
Miss Julia speaks her mind-Anne Ross (at a hen's pace recommend)

Peter Pan-James Barrie (hopefully Rand will sit in on this too)

Laddie- Gene Stratton-Porter

I hope this is not too ambitious! I love to read, and read very quickly- but get busy with the homeschooling and life in general. We'll see what I finish.

I've read Circle of Quiet and really liked it. Madeleine L'Engle is one of my favorites. And I have to say, "Blessed are the cheesemakers" caught my eye - I'll have to go check that out! At 1:41 PM, Unknown said...: Great list! I have wanted to read Imitation of Christ for a while. I think I even bought it a while back. . . . Wasn't that one of the purposes of the challenge? That Laddie book was recommended to me (on a blog I think) so this makes two times. I should check it out.

thanks for the praise for the design! I love it! Susie is very talented... I hadn't really planned to read Geisha, but then I saw a recommend for it in Chinaberry catalog and decided it is probably a must-read book.

I am reading the Miss Julia books also, and have one in my challenge list. I also have a book by Beverly Lewis (have not read any of hers yet), called "The Preacher's Daughter" that I want to read soon, but did not include on my challenge list. Is it part of the same series as yours?
